According to the UEFA, only the venue has changed, and the first match is played on February 24 at 9pm as scheduled. The European Football Association thanked both clubs for the cooperation and support, as well as MLSZ, the Hungarian Football Federation for the assistance and organizing the event.
The news of relocation was expected since Germany has imposed an entry ban on certain countries, including Great Britain. The decision also affected the first leg of the RB Leipzig-Liverpool match, and similar to the clash between Mönchengladbach and Manchester City, it will take place at Puskás Aréna. The current German provision is currently in force until February 17, but it's expected that the German government will extend it, so the Manchester team won't be able to travel to the Mönchengladbach. For preventive measures, a change in venue seemed necessary.
